As the clock struck midnight and the world welcomed 2025, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible journey of 2024. The past year was a season of growth, courage, and purpose—a year where I chose to face my fears head-on and step fully into the calling placed on my life.
Publishing One Day and 7000 Miles
One of the most monumental milestones was the publication of my third and fourth books, One Day and 7000 Miles. These works were deeply personal, reflecting the resilience, faith, and determination it takes to move forward even when the path is unclear. Writing these books was a transformative process, and seeing them come to life reminded me that our stories hold power—power to inspire, encourage, and ignite change.
A Year of Personal Victories: My Dad’s Recovery
2024 was also a year of profound personal victories, including the recovery of my dad following his stroke. Day in and day out, we spent countless hours at the hospital with him. It was, and still is to this day, stressful, heavy, and emotionally taxing, turning us every which way but loose. There were moments when we didn’t know if it would be his last day, but he kept pushing forward. Witnessing his strength, determination, and the unwavering support of our family was a humbling reminder of the resilience of the human spirit. His journey back to health taught me the importance of faith, perseverance, and community in overcoming life’s most challenging moments.
Launching the Rest Mama Collection
Another defining achievement of 2024 was launching the Rest Mama Collection, a project that holds a special place in my heart. This jewelry line is not just about accessories; it’s about creating pieces that tell stories, remind women of their worth, and encourage them to embrace rest and renewal. The collection is a celebration of women—their strength, their grace, and their endless capacity to love and lead. The response has been overwhelming, and it’s been a joy to see how these pieces resonate with so many.
Growing Rest Mama Inc.
Rest Mama Inc., my nonprofit organization, also grew in ways I could have only dreamed of. Through this initiative, we are building a community that uplifts moms and women, providing them with resources, support, and opportunities to rediscover themselves outside of their daily roles. Whether it’s through mentorship programs, financial literacy workshops, or wellness retreats, Rest Mama Inc. is committed to helping women thrive. The joy of seeing lives transformed—mothers finding hope, women reclaiming their dreams—is beyond words. We hosted our first launch event on November 23rd, 2024. It was a beautiful moment to share with moms who I've trusted with my life, around my children, and helped even me launch this company. I'm truly thankful for the ladies attended and look forward to give flowers to other women whom I held me down!

2024 also saw the seeds of exciting plans for Rest Mama Inc. take root. We’re expanding our reach with innovative programs and partnerships, including collaborative efforts for better access to wellness resources and new podcast equipment to amplify our voice and connect with a broader audience. These initiatives align perfectly with our mission to uplift and empower women to prioritize self-care and rest while pursuing their dreams.
Looking ahead, 2025 is brimming with possibilities. We’re planning immersive retreats designed to help women find balance, rejuvenate their spirits, and connect with like-minded individuals. Our community initiatives will continue to expand, with a focus on creating safe spaces for women to heal, grow, and flourish. And as the Rest Mama Collection blossoms, we’re exploring new ways to merge creativity with purpose, ensuring every piece tells a story of empowerment. We’re also building on plans for Rest Mama Jewelry’s growth, with an emphasis on giving back through grants and partnerships to support women entrepreneurs and creatives.
